I'm running through the night.
The cool air burns my face. Salty sweat robs my sight. My head pounds. My thoughts race. I'm running through the night. Not looking back at all. My muscles start to fight. Her name, out loud, I call. Maybe, I'm running to her. Maybe, I'm running away. Now I think of what we were. Then I thought she'd never stray. Now my life belongs to fate. My destination is unknown. Wild thoughts I can't sedate. Only the moon hears me moan. My life is spent in flight. The end is not in sight. I'm running through the night. I'm running through the night.
