My fairy friend.
This is a poem about a little girl and a fairy she meets one day and their friendship.

The night I met my fairy was the best night I’ve ever known,
I was sitting on my swing, and was all alone.
There was a rustle in the tree so I turned to take a look,
And as I did, she jumped out and landed on my book.

Then in a little voice, I thought I heard her say,
“Hello, my name’s Shoshanna, would you like to come and play?”
So I agreed and off we went into the waiting night,
She sprinkled something in my hair and then we both took flight.

So every other night she comes to visit me,
And we go off into the dark to drink some fairy tea.
Shoshanna is my best friend; I met her when I was one,
And even though I’m thirty now we still have lots of fun.
