LAST WISH
When one day I move onward, And cast mortal raiment, As I breathe for the last time In the final moment, Shall I feel total numbness, Or gnawing pain in heart? Shall I look back with longing, When new journey I start? Shall I be surrounded by Those who do care for me? Shall I be left all alone To await destiny? Why should questions of this sort So bother you Khalish? Why should wishes be fulfilled? Why, at all have a wish? O Lord! In my last moment, Pray grant me only this: When from this world I depart, Bestow on me your bliss. Written in abcb 7-6-7-6 format M C Gupta ‘Khalish’ 4 Sept 2004
