I wish I may, I wish I might
But sometimes stars don’t come out at night How I long to be where you are Wishing on that same bright star Hoping one day you’ll understand me If you don’t, please set me free I know you’re telling your heart to stall I know that love is odd For me to wish on a star that falls Baby, our love’s not a fraud I wish I may, I wish I might But sometimes stars don’t come out at night On starless nights I still dream of you In the morning I wish I wasn’t so blue
