Since You Asked
I offered you a fling; I'm not trying to marry you.

From my distinct point of view
You may be a pretty face to see
And have sweetness about you,
But you'll never be right for me.

Adequate enough to lie in my bed
Just a few times, but never more.
Understand I foresee nothing ahead,
There's no reason for me to explore.

Though it might make you sore,
There's honesty in what I've said.
Despite our shared romantic lore,
You're someone I could never wed.

Obviously, you could misconstrue
What I meant for my words to be.
You are something I wouldn't pursue,
Except for a fling without guarantee.

Feel free to use me for your pleasure
As long as it's convenient mutually.
You can service me at my leisure.
And oh, by the way, think well of me.
