“Reunion”
My heart melts like tiny droplets of snow warmed by a mid-day’s sun. When he walks into this room, his eyes penetrate me; Those luminescent spheres of tranquil blue seep into my being. We embrace. His strong arms envelop my quivering, aching body. I have missed him with a yearning, and a desire That knew no boundaries. My soul cried out in pain, in anguish, and he came. This embrace works like a drain, relieving me, and leaving me breathless. No structure could hold our love. Even this old cabin, where I have waited endlessly, disappears with his presence. Its walls tremble and vanish at the magnitude of our bond. These walls fade into the velvet night and we’ll never part again.
