Despair Has Won

Horror, pain and rain and rain,
From within it throbs again.
Darkness always lights the way.
Joy, aghast, nothing to say.
Smiles many, mask the sorrow.
Hope that there's no tomorrow.
Rainbows, all lead to pyrite
Making fools of those in flight.
Foggy nights lacking in sleep;
Though it hurts tears always keep.
Daymares of reality.
Wishing for finality.
Once, the ship almost came in,
But, a rock, it could not swim.
Life, the dark side of the sun,
Meaningless, despair has won.
