SUPERMAN STILL SOARS
Courage in the face of all, Hope defying blows; Rendered not by fated fall Impaled and in the throes Steeped for most in dark despair That trials by fire beget; Overwhelmed and faltering where Past hopes and dreams lay spent. Heroes though, are born of trial Embittered not, nor torn... Resolved to claim each hard-won mile, Renewed; in faith reborn. Even in a chair's embrace Encumbered not by woe, Valiant in the challenged race Each silenced footstep knows. Stilled now, though his legs may be, still standing tall, his heart; Unleashed, faith's might and victory, Proven from the start. Endured, the force of raging tides, Resplendent in hope's grace, Magnificent though changed, the stride; A hero soars in place, Never higher was his flight, nor more than now admired; Superman lives on to fight ~ and countless lives inspire.
