I've reached the end of the rope
Theres nothing left to grab
I’ve given up on hope
And everything I’ve ever had
Yeah now all I have is my guitar
But it's gotten me this far

Its been a few days
Since I’ve let your sweet talk
Slither into my ear
You’ve invited the uninvited
And you’ve moistened your lips
And I want you outta here

I've found a little niche
Filled to the brim with clichés
I’ve made a home in it
And I got a few new songs to play
And I’m feeling a little empty
And a little bit relieved
but I guess I should be happy
You know I’m fancy free

But, I've got this lack of motivation
And this lack of creation
And this empty little hole in my chest
And there’s this silly little needle in the back of my mind
Which are my thoughts
...at their best.

I guess like my mother
I’m never satisfied
Rich with desire
And a lot of tears to cry
And I miss the peace between me and the rest of the world
And that part between becoming a woman and just being a girl

I’ve lost a little blood this week
I think it came from my head
I got a little drunk the other night
Heard I was wild in bed
Im just singing to forget all that I regret

…but its not working yet.

I've reached the end of the rope
Theres nothing left to grab
I’ve given up on hope
And everything I’ve ever had
Yeah now all I have is my guitar
But its gotten me this far.
