A poem I wrote when a girl I knew died

You don't know how I'm feeling now,
I can't say the pain I feel
When you died the world stopped,
I thought it wasn't real.

When I heard, it hurt so much
I didn't think you'd die
When I heard, I felt so numb,
I wished it was a lie.

I can't say why it hurts this much,
We weren't that close it's true
But you don't know what I felt,
The respect I had for you.

I wish I could still talk to you,
I wish you were still here
I wish that I could see you now,
You spread so much joy and cheer.

I know I’ll not be the one
Who misses you the most,
There’ll be others all around me
Who’ll be haunted by your ghost.

Now you’re gone, you won’t come back
For you we all despair,
And wonder why, and how
Life could be so unfair.

Now you’re gone and won’t come back,
I feel a pain I never knew
I have just one more thing to say:
Forever, I’ll remember you.
