Trifles
Simple things await but they are only a sampling of what we hate.

Trifles
Verbal expression
is a written statement
drawn from the palette of my mind.
Communication won't come,
the words are too hard to form on my tongue.
The air of meaningful conversation
can not be pushed out by my lungs.
I speak silly trifles and watch my words stifle and die
where they land on your ears unjustly bringing tears,
but only when they dig deeper
then the surface of the skin.
Pain can be like a pin.
The salty tears are burning sin.
I will never win this battle of where we’ve been.
Making you cry and drinking our gin,
trying to express the verbal drawing stated in my mind
but never succeeding.
My heart felt pleading never meeting the standards
by which you judge.
I’m falling behind.
