Unsent Letter

You come
and go
as you please
violating
my intentions.

You demand
my attention
with your
big puppy eyes
and I give in
before
I give up.

I don't ask
myself why.
I love you
like
my pampered
child.

I am bound
to be there
for you,
despite
distance
and
absence.

With you
I've learned
to insist.
For you
I've learned
to endure.

Fall
may have
settled
in my
mind but
in my heart
I blossom.

I succumb
to your needs
patiently
hoping
you triumph
in your endeavours.
