Invisible Today
by T. K. Maxwell
Written 10/05/04

I'm invisible today
Like I really don't exist
I'm a shadow without light
A mere mortal without art

I'm invisible today
Everyone ignores my craft
For they cannot see the beauty
Since they do not know my heart

I'm invisible today
No one sees me as I am
Watercolor without shades
Like a rainbow in the dark

I'm invisible today
Yet somehow I can see you
Vivid colors lost in gray
For you soul has become stark

I'm invisible today
But tomorrow I'll be bright
Shining through this one dull life
And giving hope to all who are

Invisible today
