Choke

Choke

Was there anything ever so literal…….?
Eat your heart out.
I would dine on it
With the finest cutlery
Smothered in a savoury sauce.
I would dip into it with lady-like fingers
And tear it apart with savage claws.
I would hold it between my dainty teeth
And rip into it with canine jaws.
And when blood spurts -
I hope it hurts.

Was there anything ever so lyrical…….?
Eat your heart out.
I would take the life
From your gushing arteries
And wax poetic in blood words.
I would rub it raw with my many harsh verses
And smooth them away with imagery.
I would take crimson words for a dream-world ride
And snap back to cold reality.
And when you die -
I hope they cry.

Was there anything ever so delicious…….?
Eat your heart out…….
And choke on it.
