I almost forgot what it was like to love
like tasting a food again for the first time The remembrance of how wonderful it tastes makes it even sweeter Or hearing your favorite song from years ago and you know all the words by heart I never lost the feeling, never lost the virtue of compassion The romantic in me never died, it just lay dormant for a while waiting for my heart to mend so I could love at full capacity once again
