Ode to Death
Ode to you, death, Who knows no mercy, No boundaries, No discriminations, No taboos, No manners. No shame. Taking a friend, A loved one, A husband, A child, In suicide, In sickness, Even in perfect health, You take all. From the smallest gnat, To the greatest tycoon, All living beings bow to you, All will one day meet you, All quake in your presence, Even the most vehement of suicidals, Even the elderly and weary, For you are final.
