First To Fall

From the garden they took You, in shackles and chains.
They cursed You, and beat You, then dragged You away.
Your eyes never showed fear, only Love, and never a tear.

You were beaten, and broken, then left for dead.
They laughed as they left You, just lying alone.
A crown of thorns was made, and placed on Your head.

On a cross You were laid, arms spread in defeat.
They stretched You, and pulled You, till You screamed out in pain.
Put nails through Your hands, then in Your feet.

The cross was then raised as You looked to the sky.
The day was upon You; You spoke of it often.
“My Father, forgive them,” You said with a sigh.

Looking upon the crowd with eyes filled with tears.
You whispered these words for no one to hear.
“I die for your sins, for the sins of you all”

“For I Am The Christ, The First To Fall”.
