The Land of Fishiefied
Poem of sorts for the "Where’d it Go?" Contest.

It was in the middle of the night,
that the tank was filled with a strange coloured light;
a mixture of blue and green,
something the fish had never before seen!

A warm, deep voice then spoke,"Come with me,
come with me to the open sea.
All the algae you can eat,
plus, you will be doing a mighty good deed.”

“Why, what happened?” asked our little fish.
It did not wish become someone’s main dish.
“Well, my friend,” the voice replied,
“Long ago, in the land of Fishiefied,

all the fish vanished due to a wizard’s spell.
Without our fish, the Merkin don’t feel well.
We have found all fish, but the last one.
And that last one is you, my good son.”

Our little fish felt filled with pride
and went along on the good wizard’s ride,
to do his duty, and break the evil spell.
I am sure that he is happy and well.

So if ever your fish go away,
don’t look at your tank in sad dismay;
they may be on an important quest.
Smile, feel proud, and wish them all the best!
