Treasured Memories

Treasured memories fill my dreams at night.
My darling you're there and things seem right.
When you left I never did really know why,
Left me all alone with the many tears I cried.

I've tried to understand why things went wrong.
I worship you, I thought our love was strong.
My heart was broken when you walked away.
Time has mended it a little more each day.

I forgive you darling for leaving me here alone.
I pray each night you will come back home.
The past is gone except for my memories.
Every night in dreams they come back to me.

If I can't have you here to love and be with me,
Then may God bless you with grace for eternity.
I will always want you here around me forever.
If I can't have you, the more dreams the better.
