We'll have an affair of the old-fashioned kind,
Where a kiss is the promise of dreams, And a glance or a sigh keeps our hearts lifted high, Romance can be wondrous, it seems. We'll observe all the manners that courtship allows, Take our time to be tender and slow, Get to know more each day, in a gradual way, So that true love can blossom and grow. We won't think of rings, or such fanciful things, We'll hold hands, and embrace by moonlight, And wish on a star, shining down from afar, That our old-fashioned future looks bright.
