Tangled In A Moment
Memory Stands Still.

Tangled in a moment
Of unforgotten time.
Stranded in a memory
That won't stay locked away.
The present surrounds me
While dwelling in the past.
A teardrop in the rain
Is lost in the crowd
Just as a thought can hide
unless you own the memory.
A prisoner of that moment,
I can't seem to move on.
I refuse to even try,
As the wind rushes past.
Soon I'll hit the sidewalk
And untangle that knot of time.
