A Lonely Cube Quizmo LaGrande Sad, alone, bewildered, small, My blueness backed to purple wall. My corners sagging, bearing weight The world, for me, must generate. Desolate, beyond despair, Inwardly I sit and stare At darkness like a lonely cube, No point of light, no arced refuge. To reflect upon each side of me, What plane or color might you see? You view one, or two, or three But you’ll never see the whole of me. Therefore, I sit in block-like fashion Trying to understand the passion Of others much more round than I Who roll with life while I flatly lie. ![]() ~ * ~
