Since it's almost Halloween, I have been reading ghost stories. These are eerie so I thought I would share them. I live in Indiana and these are some of the ghost stories I have read about recently. Sit back and prepare for goose bumps. Here we go. These are ghosts we have in Indiana.
In Anderson, there is a bridge where there was a car accident. There was a baby in the car when the car went into the bridge. The police didn't find the baby. The baby died and was found later. How sad. If you go to that bridge at night, you can hear a baby crying. That would be eerie. There is a woman who wears a white wedding dress by a cemetary walking down the road. If you stop to offer her a lift, she disappears! In Angola, there is a theatre where you see a man with a long beard crying and calling out the name of his girlfriend. He committed suicide years ago and haunts the theatre looking for the woman who betrayed him. In another theatre, a ghost likes to rearrange props and items. On another bridge in Indiana, you will see a construction worker who died while working on the bridge and hear a baby crying{not the same bridge as mentioned earlier}. On another bridge, a headless man rides a horse and gets closer and closer to you but he disappears. How spooky is this? There is an Indian Trail of Tears in Indiana where the Indians were being driven out. There is said to be ghosts of small blue people who were forms of Indians. This is hard to believe. At St. Augustine's Lighthouse in Florida, you can see a little girl looking out the lighthouse windows at night. The Fort near by is believed to be haunted. It's where the Spanish soldiers had their fort years ago {at least three centuries ago}. I have been to both of these places but didn't see a ghost. In Murfreesburo, Tennessee, there is a Stone Creek Park where battles of the Civil War were fought. You can hear the battle sounds at night. I have been here, too. This gives me the creeps. There was also a plantation house that belonged to a Samuel Davis. It was rumored to have ghosts. The girl I worked with the other night, we were telling ghost stories in the old County Building we work at. Harold, our ghost there, made the lights flicker in the halls. Harold has been there for years. He likes to turn off lights, turn on the water and rearrange things but he is harmless. He used to be a supervisor at the Home at one time. The one woman who worked there claims she has seen him. I have been there seventeen years and I have never seen him but I used to feel cold breezes when he was around. I consider him my protector. He would turn on the water and I heard someone call my name. I walked down the hall and one little old confused woman had fallen down. Harold looks after the residents. Bless him. Once he pulled the fire alarm but I didn't tell the firemen that when they showed up. I am sure there are a lot of ghost stories out there but these are the ones I have read recently. {Outside of Harold, I know personally!} Have a safe and Happy Halloween. I hope you have enjoyed reading this. ** #894083 Not An Image ** ![]() ** #900964 Not An Image **
