Pumpkin Grin
Quizmo LaGrande

Okay, Mom, now take a look;
Not a scarier goblin in the book!
Mom, simply carve the pumpkin’s grin
Just like this. Can you do the chin?

My Jack-o’-lantern must be best;
I want the other kids impressed.
A glowing reminder of ME, that greeter,
And frighten all the trick-o-treaters!

For I’m the “terror” of my first grade class.
My teacher prays the term to pass.
He always tells me to sit still;
And then, why does he take a pill?

But mom, don’t make the face too spooky.
I don’t want kids to think I’m kooky
I’m not the bully I pretend—
I really want to be their friend!
