Wash Over Me

WASH OVER ME

Rain! wash over me-
seep down into my soul.
Rinse away the pain
that creates such a hole,
where memories disappear,
and blackness does invade;
to help rebuild happiness,
and make the darkness fade.
Blanket me with assurance,
not knowing where to turn.
Show me how to be myself-
I've so much yet to learn.
The best of me I've given
to those who wished to change
the essence of my being
in hopes to rearrange
my life as I know it,
to suit their very need.
A new old life I wish to grow;
Blessings to Goddess and the Rede.
