AS DEATH APPROACHES
by Jacque Graham

Confusion pushes out control,
Gradually taking the edge
From a sharp mind.
Insideous tumors crowd
The mind into chaos.

Weakness pushes against strength,
Sapping the energy
From a strong body.
Insideous cancer turns
The body into dependance.

Fear pushes against faith,
Threatening the peace
Given a thirsty soul.
A loving Christ lifts
The spirit toward release.
