It was all for naught
Or so she thought As she turned to walk away It was all for naught Or so she thought There was nothing more to say It was all for naught Or so she thought She smiled a sorrowful grin It was all for naught Or so she thought She would never understand men It was all for naught Or so she thought He seemed so thoughtful and kind It was all for naught Or so she thought She must have been out of her mind It was all for naught Or so she thought She knew the answer too well It was all for naught Or so she thought The answer was easy to tell It was all for naught Or so she thought She never seemed to win It was all for naught Or so she thought She'd never fall in love again
