When opportunity comes along and knocks,
What happens if we open not the door? A chance is missed and like electric shocks We dance to a different tune, and heart-sore, A life changing moment may escape our grasp. We may never know or be aware of the gift That does not come to fruition for us to clasp, To embrace and give our barren life a lift. When we hear the knock and open up the door, We open our minds to opportunity, to growth. We can gain an infinity of benefit, to store In generations of memories, and develop in both The physical and spiritual planes of our life. We can gather in a plethora of thoughts, ideas; Our creativity can be given rein and run rife. Uncertainty excites souls and fuels our fears.
