Thanks should be given for all that's good in life,
How easy for us to be negative, when evil runs rife
Amongst us, pervades our hearts, our souls, our minds,
Nights of darkness in daylight; but there anyone finds
Kernels of Hope, lit up by a wondrous guiding light,
Simply look; it is God that shows us that it's right
Generously to include all, to show them that we care.
Invite enemies and friends to come, be with us to share
Values, and a belief in what is good, each open our heart,
Instant hand of friendship offer, and from anger depart.
Never turn our back on anyone who has a genuine need,
Gift of love; gifts from God; Thanksgiving true in word and deed.
