THE STORY OF THE OLD CHURCH

It is the most breathtaking sight,
The old church and its colors.
But more breathtaking is it at night,
When an unseen beauty is discovered.

At night the creatures come alive
Where no human being dare go.
They gather at the church’s door
And tell tales of fate and woe.

A man once lived among the hills
That this little church calls home.
But too expensive were the bills,
And so now he lives alone.

And not long ago a woman came,
She said the church was old.
Someone suggested a new mall,
And so the church was sold.

But the church still stands among the trees.
It could not be brought down by foes.
A new miracle has come to call.
And so the story of the old church grows.
