Honoring Christmas
A poem honoring Christmas.

It's Christmas Time again,
Deck the halls with boughs of Holly,
Christmas cookies and fruit cakes are wrapped in decorative tins-
Doesn't it make you feel warm and oh so jolly?

Gingerbread houses give off the scent of spice.
Christmas trees sparkle with glitter.
The joy of Christmas feels so nice.
Even though shopping and rushing around gets us all in a dither.

Red stockings hung on the hearth,
Kitty sleeps by the fire-
As we celebrate Jesus' Birthday
and listen to Christmas Carols sung by a choir.

Snow is falling on this Christmas Day-
as we ride in an one horse open sleigh in the woods by the pond.
Later, we feed the horse some hay-
with family and friends we will bond.

Sugar plums, fudge, candy canes and Christmas candy-
are a special treat
which helps make these beloved treats dandy
and makes the holiday so sweet.

Santa and his elves help make the Christmas Season bright,
Presents are loaded in the sleigh pulled by eight magical, precious reindeer
in the sky making a beautiful glowing light.
Bringing us good tidings and cheer.

Light the candles on Christmas Day and be good to your fellow man.
Sing Christmas Carols and lift your voices to the sky!
Let your voices be heard throughout the land!
Merry Christmas! Lift your hands up high!

Jesus is the reason for the season!
