LIGHTING OF THE BRIDGE ** #914924 Not An Image ** The covered bridge was built back in eighteen eighty-three; One of a few left standing, it's now a piece of history. Back then there were no lights strung up at Christmas-time; It served it's purpose then and now serves yours and mine. Much better roads and bridges have been built and we don't use the covered bridge much anymore; but it's a treasure we can't lose. So folks in town have gathered to repair it's aging frame - and strung the lights upon it to welcome us back home again. The lighting of the bridge each year brings a smile; Past and present will reunite for such a little while. Countrymom 12/7/04
