Dream or Reality
Wondering if love is true or just a dillusion

Beyond my wildest dreams
Did I see this from you
That you would let go
And give into something true
I hope you did what’s best
And finally followed through
Because to you and only you
Has my heart become true

The wedding ring cannot part us now
Only oceans, ships and seas
But through your words you show me
That our love conquers even these

Is it a dream? Or reality?
Will it all come together
Or prove to just be a fantasy?
It feels so real, so pure
My heart it yearns for you
But my mind breaks the feelings
Into two
Disillusionment
That is my game
Who’s to say that with you
It isn’t the same?

I look at myself and see
A woman who is turning into who she is meant to be
I want no man to stop this
Even if, heart and soul, want that bliss
Because God may have greater things in store
For him and I
And that may be just being apart
Separated by the oceans, ships and seas
Only time can tell and only God can know
But, in my heart I hope it is so
That our love is the truest, the realest of the real
That our words can turn into actions
And again we can become one
That I can prove to myself that having the man of my dreams
Isn’t just an illusion
That we can make our own reality
But, still my friend that isn’t up to you and me
All this time, I have put it all on you-
If only you this, then we can be that-
But, I think I was wrong
For really we have no say at all
In God’s will being done.
