She
Every woman I know
Rated:
E
by
Avg Rating: (16)
She carries a burden that nobody knows
And wonders if she'll be okay.
She swears that she will, and she means it,
But she knows life can get in her way.

She has days where she hides in the black
When a bleakness envelopes her heart.
She looks to the moon to find comfort,
It's not much, but she calls it a start.

She'll ask you to bring her some comfort
And caustically push you away.
She fears in her heart that you're toxic,
But a part of her wants you to stay.

She comes on strong and secure,
When her heart is shattered to dust.
She wants to be loved and be loving,
But she's fearful and not quick to trust.

She cries when you disappoint her,
When she feels that you're not on her side.
She'll leave you if you hurt her deeply,
Holding fiercely to her fragile pride.

She's brave when the world is against her,
And she would rather just cry.
She pushes her way to the front of the line
'Cause she can't let her life pass her by.

She finds solace within her own soul
When she learns she is more than she seems.
She doesn't need your completion;
She knows how to reach her own dreams.

She's faced more than you could imagine
And learned more than she wanted to know.
She's had times when she felt she was broken
But instead, she learned how to grow.

She will offer her heart and her friendship
When she knows that you'll just let her be.
Love her, accept her, respect her,
And she'll teach you how you can be free.
