Messed up world
A make belief world where nothing is real except for the legends |
| This poem was written in 2004. Last month I re-wrote it. The new version is the first one and the second right behind it. You are invited to comment on the change. Hanna A messed up world Drops of acid rain, Forests ruined, forever destroyed. A rainbow with a pot of gold, Leprechaun forever annoyed. Gold woven into straw, Stock Exchange drops to zero. A princess dies in a wretched car, Spiderman becomes a hero. Black cats walk under ladders, Have you heard of Area 51? Grains of salt over the left shoulder, Lord of the Rings has almost won. Dreams come when you are awake, Fiction mixed with real life facts. Nights reserved for predators, The ripper's name was Jack. On and on the drama goes, That of legends or new events. The old world is forever gone, Buddy, can you spare five cents? August 2011 Messed up world Drops of acid rain, A rainbow with a pot of gold. Gold woven into straw, A girl intimidating a wolf. Black cats walk under ladders, Grains of salt over the right shoulder. Visions come when you're awake, Night reserved for predators. December 2004 |
