Horrifying Moments

One summer’s night in my room, I was getting under my covers to have a nice long rest from a hard day of work. When I was just about to close my eyes, I heard a strange noise and I thought, “It’s just the trees scratching the roof.” The noise got louder and louder and when I started to hear faint crying I jumped to my feet and ran.
I started towards my brother’s room to ask him if he was listening to any music with crying like noises, but he told me that he was not. So then, I started down to my parents' room to ask them if they were watching anything with crying and they also said no. When I went back to my room I said to myself, “My mind is probably just playing tricks on me.” I got back in bed and tried to ignore the noises that I was hearing and finally closed my eyes.
I was almost asleep when it suddenly became deathly cold. I was about to get up and get a few blankets to warm up, but something was wrong… I tried to move but I couldn’t. I knew that my body wasn’t asleep because it wasn’t numb. That’s what told me something was wrong. I tried to call for help, but then a transparent figure appeared and grabbed me by the neck and started to choke me. I wasn’t able to breathe, cry, scream, or gasp!
Out of nowhere, another ghost-like figure appeared and knocked the phantom away from me and saved my life. After I looked at its face, I knew it had to be an angel or something. When it walked up to me, it did some strange hand motions. I now was able to move, but was curious to see if I was ok. I looked down at my body to see if anything was wrong, but I was fine.
When I looked back up to get a better view of the spirit, I noticed that it was moving away at a high speed. I thought about telling my parents what happened, but I decided not to because I knew that they wouldn’t believe me. That Sunday at church, I prayed that all the good spirits could rest in peace, and they did! I have not seen a ghost for a long time and hope not to until I become one! This is the first time I have ever told this story to anyone. It will be your decision to believe me or not, but this is my story and I will be haunted with the thought of it forever. I will always feel grateful to the spirit who saved me. I always feel safe knowing that my guardian angel is always watching after me.
