Using Forestsage's three words:
rhythmic, harmonic and melodic

THE SONG

The music came from memory,
a haunting, melodic tune
that made me stop and think of you
and the rhythmic words came soon.

So deep the passion in my heart
that I could see you standing there,
A soldier proud in his uniform
with bright eyes and golden hair.

You spoke to me of all you'd miss
when you were gone so far away -
The eagles' flight in the mountains
that you would watch for everyday.

The pain of losing you so deep
that even time does not erase
the memories of your smile,
or the tears upon my face.

The harmonic sound of music
in the air, as we laid you to rest
as the eagles flew above us there
as if to honor your request.

You came back to the mountain
where those eagles fly -
You used to stand and watch
as they circled in the sky.

They have the joy of freedom
for which so many have to die;
The song became the melody
of a final, last goodbye.
