Onward to Heaven (Ode to Matt Zeller)
Until it’s gone forever You never know what you had I’ll always remember Every time you made me glad I’d give anything Just for one last ride home I cant believe it, this thing As we lay you with your tombstone It’s such a shame You left us too soon Life to us was a game And we lost a player to the monsoon An evil rain that raged Made your car swerve Now inside we all pray Your soul gets what it deserves Onward to Heaven we send you Friends and Family gathered You know we’ll always miss you You are all that matters To all of us you were an angel Now God wants you back Its better to have known an angel And miss what we now lack Than been deprived Of the angelic presence you had In this mad world you contrived A way to keep us hand-in-hand Onward to Heaven now Back to where you belong Knowing we miss you now Inwardly singing the same sad song
