A story about a girl
Shelby's the name
Didn't know much about the world
Her love life's just a game

She met a man named Eric
Her true love, so she claimed
He played her heart for fools
Then buried her in shame

Yet she kept on longing for
A mistake that was clear
"Stop loving him no more!"
Friends watched her melt in tears

He continued letting her
Believe he loved her still
Sometimes though, he hurt her
With ignorance and chills

She wallowed in her sorrows
He wallowed in his game
She sobbed in her pillows
He just didn't feel the same

Now the story's going on
I don't know how it'd end
She dreamt of ever after
But Eric, he just can't!
