LIGHTHOUSE

Confusion, doubt and loneliness,
How did I end up in this mess?
Wave after wave pulling at me,
Feelings of being lost at sea.

The water is at my shoulders,
Can the night get any colder?
The tide is closing in on me,
Its over my head, I can't see.

Thrashing, I see a ray of light,
Thru empty blackness, piercing night.
Strong, brave, relentless, standing tall
The lighthouse, a beacon for all.
