MORNING SUN

MORNING SUN

Rays of sunlight enter my room
and draw attention to the sight
of the morning sun in the sky,
filling my heart with delight.

Lifting my spirits, it has a way
of erasing all the sorrow -
Darkness gone, I shed my fears
of the night, and each tomorrow.

Streams of color across the sky
as it lifts up and warms the earth;
A gift of God, this morning sun,
to enjoy for all it's worth.

As long as there is a morning sun
the world will go on living;
I bask in the glory of the sun
and the life that it is giving.
