Neutral Smiles You're home from work, it's three-thirty. I'm just getting up, yes the house is still dirty. A perfunctory kiss to my lips, no the cheek. I'm finishing my coffee, even tho it's weak. To your computer, then the nightly news. A shot of gin, followed by some booze. From your pattern you never stray. With eyes closed, I could go through your day. I work nights, the grave-yard shifts. You work days, monitoring fork-lifts. On the off chance of being at home together, With our Neutral Smiles, we talk of the weather! Tammy 1/18/05
