![]() The Gentle Dragon Gus the dragon was not bold, But gentle, and with manners mild. He never breathed his fire around In case he frightened some small child. He liked to play with dogs and cats, And loved to chase a rubber ball. And anyone who saw young Gus Would say he was not fierce at all. He helped old ladies with their bags When visiting the supermart, A kindly dragon, that was Gus, Small in body, big in heart. He lit the wood on Bonfire Night, And cooked the party barbeque, He was so helpful and polite, His fame and admiration grew. So, don't think they are all the same, Or scream and make an awful fuss, If you see a dragon, ask his name, You never know, it might be Gus!
