MY LOVE, DON’T GRIEVE
Wife's last words to husband from death-bed

MY LOVE, DON’T GRIEVE

My love don’t grieve
As I take leave
From material world.
Our love was pure,
I will be your,
I do give you my word.

Soul mates were we,
And I decree,
That so shall we remain;
Whether hither
Or some other
World be our next domain.

I’ll be away
But this I say,
I will yet be near you.
As sun descends,
Darkness it sends,
And then shines a moon new;

You will then hear,
Truly my dear,
A melodious tune,
The tune that we
Sang you and me,
Walking under the moon.

I will not be
For you to see
By your side in the night.
But in the sky,
You will yet spy
A star with kindly light.

So husband dear,
Don’t have a fear,
You will never lose me.
We were one and
This will not end
Mutual destiny.
