Softly Treads the Night
Longing for those warm summer nights...

Softly treads the night

Walking o'er the ground

Silver falling moonbeams

Gracing darkened down

Sleeping nests of birds

Cooing in their slumber

Dreaming dens of bears

Wearing cloaks of umber

Slickened frogs in chorus

Sing their nocturnal song

And crickets play a tune

Chanting the night along
