Trepidation

Ariadne

As I touch my toe to the water,
of an ocean sailed before,
I wonder with trepidation,
if the journey will be the same.

A voyage of deep emotion,
in a vast ocean of love,
held buoyant by one another,
neither of which can claim.

Will it be a safe travel,
held fast in your arms,
or will I be your Ariadne,
on the shore calling your name.
