I heard someone say they don’t like poetry,
But I hope they'll always wait and see For with any prose I keep an open mind, And hope that I will continue and find That the words I read are the words I need To express my feelings or simply sow a seed. It may be a start, a bone of contention, May herald thoughts that lead to invention Of the great story or the perfect rhyme. But what I always do is give words time, To make an imprint and try me to impress, To lead me to issues I have to address.
