There's a point in life when the map tears in two,
When the compass no longer points north.
The time when the spyglass splinters and cracks,
As the way of God is not put forth.

Most people just sigh and give in to despair,
They let go of the strong urge to fight.
But some hold on to the frayed rope of faith,
And hope things will turn out all right.

For there's a point in life when the ocean gives way
To those who held on through the night.
They see through the fog in the midst of the day,
The beacon of hope and its light.

The beacon of hope was their map when it tore,
The lighthouse that kept them strong.
For in the dark of the night they felt the warmth of the light,
And knew nothing would go wrong.
