" Twilight " In the ever fading twilight, Under an ancient Maple tree A crystal thought so bright It had finally dawned on me! We're all travelers from afar. Distant guests in violent times; Through azure skies to a star Daylight dies, we see the signs! Born of a silent screaming mass We're but strangers on a quest. Serene soldiers in from the past Lightning rips the sky to the west! Time turns another life to ash. The righteous man does his best. A rich man gropes his bag of cash. The religious wait to be blessed! Our mortality leaves us in the end. We wonder if all of this is right; For our lives have been spent in those dreams of fading twilight! ![]()
