Here adrift in the midnight rain
I've played a loser in a lovers' game
broken into, hurt to the core
you're the one I'd be there for

Raging fires burn in my brain
like howling winds in a huricane

I stand here enduring the pain
never again to feel the same
a ride too rough to weather
the loving times now lost forever

A silent drifter on a lonely track
could care less if I get you back
emotions spinning round and round
love's devotion seems to drown

Funeral pyres and no more pain
in those howling winds of a hurricane

Everything in life is flying apart
anger pierces my broken heart
the raging fires burn in my brain
winds howling inside like a hurricane

Taken in by promises then
never will it happen again
now I'll try so hard to contain
lonely tears falling down in the rain
